FPO have focused small and marginal farmers and also landless, leased farmers and collectively organized these farmers and formed farmers’ Interest groups and they are clubbed together in Farmer Producer Organization. The company was registered under Producer Company Act Pursuant to sub-section (2) of section 7 of the Companies Act, 2013 on 11.12.2018 in the address of 1/193A, Jeeva street, Chinnakollapatti, Kannakuruchi, Salem – 636008.
Totally 1000 farmers are mobilized in which 600 members are enrolled. 30 Groups were formed covering 600 farmer members. 600 members only paid the share capital amount of Rs.6, 00,000/-. The NIWAD FPCL take initiatives and interventions of production, procurement, build the knowledge on new methodologies, new technology adaptation, and field level demonstration, enrolled with the social security schemes of all members and provide forward and backward linkages of small and marginal farmers. The business plan should be covered and facilitated both forward and backward linkages of the FPO. Supply of quality animal feeds, seeds, fertilizers and plant protection chemicals are to be encouraged for the benefits of member as backward linkage. Market and value addition should be comes under the forward linkage. So the business plan has been prepared for the first three year of operation through which individual farmer member will benefit and also increase the income of the company. The FPO gets the net surplus of Rs. 2698400/- as profit during the year 2022-23. The FPO gets the net surplus of Rs. 5810000/- during 2023-24 and the FPO gets the net surplus of Rs. 8811200/- as profit during the third year. The NIWAD FPCL gets the net surplus of Rs. 1577/- as net dividend of single shareholder for the year 2022-23. During the year 2023-24, the net dividend of Rs. 2075/- gets a single shareholder. The FPO gets the net dividend of Rs. 2865/- as profit during the year 2024-2025 as single shareholder. 

Salem District is one of the biggest districts in Tamil Nadu. It surrounded by hills and the landscape dotted with hillocks. Salem district also called as Steel city and Mango city. Salem is the fifth largest city in Tamil Nadu by population and covers 91.34 km2. The area also houses a number of sago factories for the production starch. In Salem district 34,000 ha of land are devoted to cassava and 650 industrial units are engaged in tapioca processing. Salem has four revenue divisions viz., Salem, Attur, Mettur, Sankagiri and it is divided into 14 taluks. The district comprises of four Municipalities and one Corporation i.e Salem and 385 Village Panchayats with 640 Revenue villages. The district is also having 33 Town panchayats and 20 Panchayat Unions. In 2011, Salem had population of 3,482,056 of which male and female were 1,781,571 and 1,700,485 respectively. There was change of 15.44 percent in the population compared as per 2001. A large number of farmers in this district depend on animal husbandry for their livelihood. In addition to supplying milk, meat, eggs, wool and hides, animals, mainly bullocks, are the major source of power for both farmers and dryer. Thus, animal husbandry plays an important role in the rural economy. Moreover, livestock sector provides supplementary employment and sustainable source of income to many small and marginal farmers.
